Another Tiki Bar

 Portland, OR

Hale Pele

This afternoon we took the bus to Hale Pele, one of our favorite tiki bars.  Hale Pele, we learned, is owned by the same group that owns Smugglers Cove, one of our other favorite tiki bars.  We got there just before opening and joined the line.  We were seated at the bar and within a few minutes the bar was full.  We went on a Sunday and this is the day that Members get a 20% discount so that explained why it was full almost immediately after opening.

Before heading to Hale Pele we went for a walk along the riverfront.  We caught the Amtrak coming across The Iron Bridge.

Someone put up fun warning and danger signs.

Everyone is excited to get their tropical vibes going on this cold day.

I chose am In From The Cold for my first drink.

They still have their 10th anniversary swizzle sticks from 2022.  We got a few.

We also got some good snacks.  Their food is some of the best food we have had at a tiki bar.

I chose Abuela's Old Fashion for my 2nd drink.

After enjoying Hale Pele we took the bus home.  They have red interior lights at night when the bus is in motion and it looks cool on the security camera.

That's it for today.  If you missed, The 2nd Oldest Tiki Bar in The US, check it out.
