A Normal Weekend

 Cincinnati, OH

Washington Park has a Dog Park and they sell beer!

Settling in to the Normal Life

This weekend was a take it easy weekend.  We live in a party area so people were going hard all around us.  I'm not sure if Cinco De Mayo had anything to do with it, we'll find out next weekend.

Enjoying the park on a nice day

We walked to Rhinegeist on Cinco De Mayo but it was packed so we kept walking to Northern Row.  It was meh.

The space was cool though.

On Sunday we made pizza with dough we started on Friday.  It was delicious.  I got the recipe from Chain Baker.

I also walked a few downtown "highways" to make them off the list.

This appears to be a closed Tiki Bar.  This is the 2nd out of business Tiki Bar we have come across here.
Donna made a Cincinnati specialty as well.  Goetta is a sausage made with steal cut oats and spices.  It's really only popular here.  There is a company that makes it but I am sure Donna's was better.  We cooked it up with eggs, potato hash, and toast.

We also did some grocery shopping and some chores. We bought some bread and ground pork at Findlay Market.  The bread wasn't very good.  We are having a hard time finding good bakeries in some of our stays.  On Sunday I walked to Level One to play some pinball and Total Carnage

It was a pretty low key normal weekend for us which is fine.  We have a few big adventures coming up this week.

If you missed Foo Fighters Pinball you can check it out via the link. It's a brand spanking new pinball machine by Stern.
