Having Fun Relaxing

Today we had our morning coffee while I finished logging all of our drives and then we walked to Matherne's Market to see what they had to offer.  I didn't take any photos but I ended up picking us up two lunch plates from their hot bar.  I got Catfish with beans and rice and Fried Chicken with greens and string beans.  They were both really good and a fun treat.  It looks like the market has a lot of great things so we will probably end up going there a few times.

When we got back we settled in and watched some Great British Baking and then a movie called Barbarian.  It's on HBO and has been on our list of movies to watch for a few months.  It was FANTASTIC.  Scary but not too scary.

Peychaud's Apertivo Spritzer

Oh yea, the other day we bought a bottle of Peychaud's Apertivo and today Donna made us spritzers.  They were very good.  I really like Campari so I really like this too.  Peychaud's Bitters were originally produced in New Orleans and is an important ingredient in a Sazerac.  The Apertivo, using the Peychaud's name, was probably made to compete with Campari and Aperol in this area based on the name recognition.  When we bought it we thought it was from here but it isn't. It's still good and an appropriate thing to drink in Louisiana.

We will get going soon and have things to write about but for now we are just enjoying having a comfy couch in a new place.

That's it for today.  If you missed yesterday's post you can check it out here.
