Road Trip Humbug Mt. State Park OR to MacKerricher State Park CA
This morning was the first morning we have woken up to great weather on the trip so far. No rain, no snow, and no wind. I made coffee while Francis relaxed.

Since we were staying in an Oregon State Park we thought we would take advantage of the free showers. Oregon State Parks are amazing and I will do a post why they are in the future. One of the things that makes them amazing is you can tell what amenities you are getting by how much you are paying. Humbug Mt. comes with free hot showers in a heated shower room. They are individual shower rooms so there is complete privacy. The showers were fantastic and did us good.

Clean! |
Our drive took us down US 101. We passed through cities we thought we wouldn't pass through last time we passed through them. Our rout then took us over to CA 1. We had to cut over to the Fort Bragg area. It was twisty so we took it slow.

We stretched our legs at Kissing Rock |
|
This isn't kissing rock. I just took a photo of the closest rock and assumed it was kissing rock |
|
I also took the opportunity to stretch my lips |
We rolled into MacKerricher State Park with plenty of time to set up and cook before dark. We have stayed at this park in the past so we knew what to expect. It was nice and dry so we set everything out to finish drying.
|
We set up camp just like we normally do |
|
We made vegan taco skillet for dinner |
|
We walked to the cold windy beach |
|
We watched the moon rise |
It was another fantastically eventful yet uneventful day!
Always a good idea to stretch one's legs and lips.
