Area 15

Area 15 is a warehouse off strip that houses Meow Wolf as well as other installations and food places. It's also an occasional event venue.  There is even an arcade with pinball and they will be starting tournaments here in March.  We will be long gone by then.

 

Area 15, where Meow Wolf is, opens at noon on weekdays.  We were a little early so we explored the outdoors art installations.

This was a cool shipping container with mirrors that made the inside look great.

Meow Wolf Omega Mart

When Area 15 opened we headed in to our 3rd Meow Wolf.  We have been to Meow Wolf Denver and Santa Fe.  When we started visiting them in 2021 there were 3 but 2 more opened up in Texas so there are 5 now. They are a lot of fun and worth a visit.

Omega Mart is a Grocery Store.  They have all kinds of wacky products and then there are hidden portals to the rest of the museum.

I found the camping supply area and took a photo op.

When you enter the tent you find a portal to "The Other Side".  We can see Donna coming through the portal.

There is a story that you can try to unravel if you have the attention span.  We mostly just enjoyed the art and used the phone to call various executives and employees that are a part of the story.

We found more portals with more crawling.  There are alternate paths to these areas that don't require crawling.

This little house in the center starts the long story chain I think.

The Meow Wolf locations all have very cool bars so we thought we would check this one out.

After having our cocktail we explored the Omega Mart Grocery Store more.  There are all kinds of fun products to look at.

I drug Donna across to the other side of The Omega Mart to show her this.

It's Super Bowl week so there is a lot of press in town.

After exploring The Omega Mart we decided to do a pass on the rest of Area 15.  We both wanted to play pinball too.

This was the arcade that had pinball but for some reason the floor with the pinball machines was closed so no pinball for us.

Area 15 has a 2nd floor with more things to do and good views

We went into Wild Muse.  They sell Festival Clothing.  The salesperson was really great.  She said, "Feel free to try anything on even if it is just for fun". I thought that was a good angle to take.

There was a lot of fun things for wealthy Burning Man types.

There was a cool toy store that reminded me of a Spencers Gifts
