What show are we seeing tonight?

The Nevada State Museum

Today Donna, Brenton, Gordon, and I visited the Nevada State Museum.  I had the museum on our list of places we could visit for free so when we got there I was going to get Donna and myself in and then buy 2 tickets for the rest of the group.  I showed my pass at the window and we were told they weren't a part of the NARM group.  Bummer, I guess my notes were wrong.  I apologized for getting it wrong and bought 4 tickets and we headed in.  On the way in we were given a map and I looked at it and there was a botanic garden on the property too.  I got to thinking and looked at our botanic garden reciprocal pass list and The Nevada State Museum was on the list.  Moving forward, I will add which pass to use when I make my list.  Oh well, we were in and it was a great museum and totally worth it

More historical gambling machines at another museum!

Our first look at costumes for the day was provided by The Vegas Showgirl exhibit.

Our next costumes came via the Liberace exhibit at the museum.

The museum was just a part of the things to see on the giant grounds that included a botanic garden, another museum, and nature preserve.

The Rampart Casino

After the museum, we had lunch and then headed over to The Rampart Casino.  The Rampart is a locals casino way off strip and very close to Summerlin, NV.  I wanted to see a Casino I hadn't seen before and some of the others wanted to gamble a bit.

We had a little video poker "tournament" where we each played until we lost a hand and then rotated.  It was a lot of fun and we broke even!

I took the opportunity to have a beer at off strip prices.

A Trip to the Tropicana for a Show

After a delicious pizza dinner and a rest at the Airbnb, we took a Lyft over to the Tropicana for our next appointment.  

I found some Glam Raiders Merch to continue our Fancy Costume theme.

We saw a new, to me, electronic craps table with real dice.  All of the payouts were handled electronically so there was only a need for one person to work the table working the dice and stick.

It was a fun show.  We had a great time cheering on the competition.   Ru wasn't there in person but she appeared on the big screens to add to the show and this capped off a great day of Fancy Costumes.
