Getting Settled In L.A.

 Los Angeles, CA

Home Base Los Angeles

It's Tuesday and we are getting settled in our L.A. Airbnb.  We arrived yesterday evening and we will be here for 30 days.  If you didn't know, sometimes you can get steep nightly discounts by staying 30 days or more, usually hundreds of dollars off just by going from less than 30 days to 30 days+.  We backed our van into a spot that was just barely big enough but we fit so that is the important part.

It was a tight squeeze but we are in!

We unloaded the entire van and there is room for everything.  There is even room for our bins to be packed away out of the way.  The listing title has the word Bungalow in it so we assumed it was going to be a lot smaller than it is.  It has a really comfy couch and a TV with free Netflix (Great British Baking Show!) and Showtime (Dexter!)

Last night we had a guilty pleasure.  Sure, we are surrounded by incredible eating establishments, but sometimes you just want something you haven't had in years.

A really bad photo of our guilty pleasure.
I didn't take my time because who takes a photo of El Pollo Loco?

This morning I am making a checklist of all of the things we want to do while we are here.  30 days doesn't seem like a lot of time when you look at our list.  We also want to get together with quite a few friends but most of them are only available on weekends so our weekends are almost completely booked already.  I am pretty sure we will be back next year and we might even stay at this Airbnb.
I will post about our drives and camping from Kirkland to L.A. over the next few days.

  1. I'm glad the Airbnb is better than expected! Looking forward to hearing about your list of things to do in Southern California. I've got a few things on my list of places I want to visit and/or take JH, but not many. Enjoy having a home base for a while! We miss you up here, but are so excited for your adventure.
