Inner Harbor
Baltimore, like all great cities, has water access. The Inner Harbor is the famous harbor in Baltimore which is part of the Patapsco River, a fresh non-tidal water system that connects with the Potomac River and others and then flows into the Chesapeake Bay and ultimately into the Atlantic Ocean. It is a very touristy area so we decided to go walk around it and then take the ferry associated with the Charm City Circulator across the harbor.

If you visit there are also paid ferries that run. Don't get on one of them! They cost $20 a day. |

The ferry pilot told us about this monument which memorializes The Baltimore Pride sinking where 4 people lost their lives. We assumed it was an old monument like every other monument in the area. |
![]() |
Nope, the boat sank in 1986. Not that old by our standards. |
