Another Day of Not Doing Much, It's Hot

 McKinney, TX

Donna took this photo of our local black squirrel "Chilling" in the 102 degree weather

It's really hot

Today it reached 102 degrees so we sat around in the air conditioning in the morning and ran a few errands in the early afternoon.  I spent most of the day watching The World Series of Poker on PokerGo.  We are also watching the July Grand Sumo Basho which is pretty great so far.  We are just about half way through our stay in McKinney, TX.  Tomorrow the plan is to ride transit in TX, visit an art museum, and go to a Tiki Bar.  Friday and Saturday will probably be rest days / watching the WSOP Final Table, and then Sunday we watch Sharon in a horse competition and get a new county.

When you put yourself outside your normal routine you tend to learn things and one of the things I have learned is that when we do settle down again, I want to live near public transit. I really enjoy hopping on transit and going somewhere or using it to run errands and you can't do that here.  True, Parker Station is a park and ride, but you have to drive for about 20 minutes to get there on the highway.  I also want to have our van so we can go camping, so living carless like we did in San Francisco isn't a choice I would want to make at this point either.  We are still a long way off from figuring out where we want to settle down and there is probably still a lot to learn.

Come to think of it, y'all can't get there from here...

Feels like 106!

If you want to read about us watching Thor and eating a doughnut with ice cream on top of it check out yesterday's post.  I think there is like 90% less griping about stuff.
