Soups On At The Supper Club

 Minneapolis, MN

We are not in someone else's Livingroom

Celebration Dinner at The Creekside Supper Club

This evening we took a Lyft to The Creekside Supper Club to wrap up Donna's Birthday Celebration.  Supper Clubs are a unique dining experience that are most prevalent in the upper midwestern states.  Donna and I wanted a unique place that serves Prime Rib and this is a good one.  They serve Prime Rib on Fridays and Saturdays.  As soon as we walked in, we knew this is the place we wanted to go.  The atmosphere was casual and the service was Minnesota Nice.

There aren't many cigarette machines being used as cigarette machines anymore.  I wasn't sure if this was operational or decorative.

All the talk about Supper Clubs on Reddit seem to center around The Relish Tray.  This was brought to us as soon as we sat down.

Funky decorations adorn the walls throughout the Supper Club

We both ordered Prime Rib.  I ordered mine with a side of fried Brussels Sprouts

Donna got the Prime Rib with Hash Browns.

They had great cocktails on the menu and a good selection of local beers.

At some point in the evening Donna needed to use the restroom.  When she came back she excitedly let me know that the Women's Restroom was adorned with photos of Patrick Swayze.   I felt the need to use the restroom after hearing this and my mind went to which heartthrob the Men's Restroom was showcasing.  I excitedly worked my way through the bar and to the restroom in the back of the Supper Club, taking a few photos along the way.

When I arrived I was not disappointed.  It turns at that the Men's Restroom version of Patrick Swayze was...

PATRICK SWAYZE!

I made sure to soak in all of the Patrick Swayze goodness.

On the way back to the table I snapped this photo of the bar.  It appears the bartenders caught me.

Dessert, for us, consisted of ice cream based cocktails.  I got the Grasshopper and Donna got a Pink Squirrel.

I found more Knick Knacks to take photos of on the way out.

It was a fantastically fun dinner and the bar looked just as fun.  I am sure we will be back for happy hour in the bar.  My goal is to take a Lyft there on a very cold winter evening and enjoy the warm atmosphere and delicious food.

After eating we walked around the neighborhood a bit.  The Parkway Theater is right next door and they do revival movies.  I keep checking in for movies we have to see here.  We haven't found the perfect opportunity to go but I am sure there will be one here soon.

We also saw this cool sign on the reasons you should teach your child how to Fence.

That's it for today.  If you missed, Feather Bowling at Pyres Brewing, check it out.  We had a beer, some food and did some Feather Bowling.
