The Lichen-Carrying Green Lacewing

Somewhere in Florida
The other day we were sitting at our picnic table and we saw some lichen walking around. This is odd because lichen doesn't move on its own. I took a few photos and zoomed in and it looked it was an ant with lichen on its back. I entered it into i-Naturalist and it identified it as a Lichen-Carrying Green Lacewing. It's larvae to be precise. The larvae puts lichen and other things on its back to hide from would be predators. Neat!

You can read more about these crafty larvae here
