Manatee Springs State Park Florida

Manatee Springs State Park, FL

Manatee Springs State Park

A few days a go we stayed at Manatee Springs State Park just outside of Gainesville FL and we are heading back and staying there again on our trip north and then west across the panhandle.  We had 3 nights canceled due to Hurricane Ian so we booked 1 night in St Pete and were lucky enough to get 2 nights in Manatee Springs again.  It's a beautiful park with great boardwalks and a natural spring you can swim in.  We are told Alligators are ambush hunters and they need murky water to hunt.  The water that comes from the springs is very clear until it gets farther away from the source. We even dipped in the morning we were leaving.  It was cold so we didn't go in very deep.

Our set up looked good in our great campsite

Cold Gatorbait!

That's it for today.  If you missed yesterday's post you can find it here
