Kansas City, MO and KS

I guess I should have taken off my sunglasses so I could see to take a better photo. Oh well. |
KC Central Library
Today's adventure started with a visit to the Kansas City Central Library. It's in the historic First National Bank Building built in 1906. The building is fantastic and the library has taken full advantage of the building. They have even left much of the original furniture from the building around as art pieces. The main reason we went was for the rooftop patio.

The lobby is beautiful and difficult to capture it all |

In the olden days, banks could print their own money. This is a $50 bill printed by First National Bank. |

This was my favorite part. Books and Maps from the surrounding area. I could have grabbed any number of books and written blogs that are way too long. |

They have many great sections broken down into tight interest areas like this one. I wanted to get the book on the Tulsa Race Massacre |

I took this so I would look up the disaster and do a little research |
Bussing to Kansas for Pinball
After the library (I almost typed museum) we headed to the bus stop and rode the bus across the Kansas River to Kansas City Kansas (KCK). We picked up Kansas Transit and Kansas Pinball in one fell swoop. The walk from the bus to 403 Club was a little long and there wasn't much to see. KCK is even less dense than KCMO.

Evening Walk
We took a Lyft back from pinball and then took Francis for our evening walk. I took a few more photos of the area we are staying.
