I got to hang with Michael on Halloween |
Minneapolis Orchestra
We had a busy day on Halloween this year. We started out going to The Minneapolis Orchestra for their 11am performance. We weren't the youngest people there but it was close.
Today was the first real day of rain and snow so we used The Skyway to get to Orchestra Hall. |
We can walk from our apartment to Orchestra Hall without ever going outside. |
It seemed like everyone was drinking coffee and eating a doughnut so we went to see if there was a special. It was the best special, FREE! |
The orchestra is halfway to their EGOT. This is their Grammy. |
We were down in the front row and I was surprised when we entered and the stage steps were right there! |
This is their Grammy. Just a Tony and an Oscar needed for the EGOT sweep. |
The first real snow hit during the performance so we used The Skyway to get home. No driving or coats needed! |
That's our apartment from The Skyway. |
Francis and the Cold
We bought Francis a heavy coat and booties for the winter. Today was the first real day to try them out.
Francis is known for his nervous yawn. |
The walk was a drag for Francis both literally and figuratively. |
He did his best. Hopefully he gets used to all of the outerwear. |
Dinner and a Movie
Later that evening we took a Lyft to the 48th and Chicago area to have dinner at The Creekside Supper Club and see Halloween (1978) at The Parkway Theater.
Donna and I did splitzies with the short rib and... |
The Pork Schnitzel. |
The Parkway Theater is next door. They show classic movies and have other events. We were here for Halloween on Halloween. |
They have a full bar, which is nice. |
We got some themed cocktails and some movie snacks. |
This is the wallpaper in the men's restroom. |
And some lighting fixtures in the lobby. |
That's it for today. It was a fun Halloween in Minneapolis! If you missed, Enjoying Local Women's Sports, check it out.
